Originally this was supposed to be a painting only of a kettle, but then once I completed it, I realised the kettle was off-centre. Oops! Then I took some valuable advice from high school art class, where everyone learns this lesson: All mistakes can be corrected. And so was painted this pear, which I think really helps to add to the piece in more ways than one. (Update: this painting no longer exists, sadly.)
