Childhood’s End

ChildhoodsEnd

Pastel, 9″ x 10″

Book text is taken from the fantastic first-contact novel “Childhood’s End” by Arthur C. Clarke — one of my all-time favourite reads. Anyone ever looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon, this is a nice way to spend a few hours. People are so deterred by SF, I know, but I believe those people are misguided, thinking the genre’s all about intergalactic wars and spaceships. How wrong they are! (Warning: this book contains spaceships…)

Coincidentally, this qualifies as both “A Thumb” and “A Book” on my 642 Things to Draw challenge!
