Sensitive Cowboy

This is #63 on my 642 Things to Draw Challenge (“A Sensitive Cowboy”). What better inspiration for such an illustration than Eli Sisters, the narrator from Patrick deWitt’s outstanding novel “The Sisters Brothers“!? Certainly I’m aware that Eli’s probably a bit chunkier than this, but I just wrung this out and am content with the result as it stands. It’s not truly how I imagined Eli to look anyway. He just served as the inspiration. A semi-bit of fan art, let’s call it.
